"With our skilled workforce and affordable real estate prices, Rockford is quickly emerging as a regional hub for the call center industry," Steve Bois, CEO of the Rockford Area Association of REALTORS, says. Emmett Gray, broker-associate with Rockford-based Whitehead Inc. Realtors and a member of the Rockford Area Association of REALTORS, represented the building owners in the deal.
The new call center was previously occupied by the Prairie Area Library System, which marketed the space as a sublease through 2017. The space was marketed at an asking lease rate around $6.15 per square foot. FMS searched locations across the Midwest, including other cities in Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin and Iowa.
