Mark Alfieri, chief operating officer of Behringer Harvard Multifamily REIT I Inc., says the buyer was attracted by Mariposa's central location in Fulton County, along with Atlanta's national reputation as a magnet for young professionals. He describes the five-year-old property as "an attractive opportunity to acquire a stabilized, well-performing multifamily asset in the eighth-largest US metro area."
Mariposa's clubhouse includes a resort-style pool, covered parking and a clubhouse with a fitness center, business center, media and game rooms. Units range from 683 to 1,338 square feet and include washer/dryers and walk-in closets.
Behringer Harvard Multifamily REIT I has investments in 13 multifamily communities with 3,883 units in eight states, including Mariposa.
