San Francisco-based AMB Corp. was represented in the deal by Brian Colson, EVP, and Eric Fisher, senior associate, with NAI Hiffman's Industrial Services Group.
"NEP Electronics found themselves in an ideal situation, with this property becoming available next door to their headquarters," Colson says. "The buyer leased additional space in the area that was expiring and they were at capacity at their Mittel Drive building. Purchasing the 795 Mittel property allowed NEP to consolidate operations next door to their headquarters, and expand their operation."
The sales price on the deal was not disclosed. The property is located in the North DuPage submarket, where overall occupancy for warehouse space is around 90%, according to Grubb & Ellis' mid-year industrial market report. Average asking lease rates for warehouse in the submarket are near $4.70 per square foot, Grubb's research says.
