The Cisco-CBRE relationship commenced in 1999 and includes the provision of facilities management, tactical space planning, and move management services within select Cisco sites. CBRE says in a prepared statement that it was selected for the multi-year global agreement after a competitive evaluation process. It declined to comment beyond the press release. CBRE senior managing director Jamie Ergle is the Alliance Director for the company's Cisco relationship.

The consolidation of project management was an important initiative within Cisco's larger global resource optimization program driven by Cisco Workplace Resources. The goal of the program is improved cost, enhanced performance and consistency. A Cisco spokesperson was unavailable Wednesday for comment on what, if any, near-term construction projects will be handled by CBRE.

A key component of Cisco's operational goals is the development of a universal, scalable platform that can be consistently and rapidly leveraged on behalf of its portfolio and clients." Cisco's Workplace Resources senior director David Wagner says he believes CBRE offers that platform.
