The school was represented by Craig Cassell, VP of Grubb & Ellis' Office Group, while building owner M&J Wilkow was represented directly by Jack O'Brien in the lease.
"The University of Phoenix has experienced a significant increase in enrollment, driving the need for additional classroom space," Cassell says. "The available space on the floor directly above the school's currently occupied space proved to be an excellent solution." M&J Wilkow is currently marketing an additional 42,000 square feet of space available for lease in the 27-story building on its website.
Designed by Skidmore, Owings, & Merrill, the multi-use property offers office on floors 13 through 27, while the first two floors house a retail concourse and floors three through 12 offer a 1,200-space parking garage. The building, opened in 1986, also features proximity to a CTA subway station, restaurants and banks.
