The aircraft manufacturer is consolidating its warehouse operations from a facility in Edison, along with its divisional headquarters and administrative offices now located in a separate Paramus office building. While the company declined to give rental rates, direct average asking rents in Bergen County are running around $27 per square foot, while industrial space is going for $7.47, according to a recently released Cushman & Wakefield report.
The leased premises will provide DPS with a facility that is around 50% office space. According to Applebaum, the consolidation plan of combining the "two business units into a single facility will immediately provide significant financial savings for DPS."
The property is owned by the Teaneck-based Bonanno Real Estate Group, which was represented by Hal Lichtenstein and Marc Hirschinger of Colliers Houston & Co., also in Teaneck.
