In the largest deal, Steps to Literacy has extended and expanded its long-term lease to 31,200 square feet for its warehouse distribution space and headquarters. The supplier of elementary educational materials now occupies all of 4E Easy St. within the development.

The other transactions included:

  • Bridgewater Vehicle extended its 26,400-square-foot lease at 13E Easy St.;
  • Delancy Tool, a wholesale close-out retail hardware trade and industrial supply house, extended its lease for 24,000 square feet at 8E Easy St.;
  • Publishers Circulation, the nation's largest independent newspaper home delivery distributor, renewed its long-term lease for 14,640 square feet at 7E Easy St.;
  • Mercury Insurance, a leading independent broker and agency writer of automobile insurance, has doubled the size of its lease to 10,124 square feet for records storage; and
  • In a new lease, Northeast Power Dry, a water damage restoration specialist, took 7,200 square feet at 1EA Chimney Rock Rd.

"In a market with negative absorption," he says, "We are experiencing positive organic growth through the strength of the direct relationships we have established with our tenants."

Located in the heart of Somerset County, MiddleBrook Crossroads is near Interstate 287 and US Route 22, and is just eight miles from the junction of Interstates 78 and 287, providing access to Newark Liberty International Airport and Port Newark. Each building at the complex is equipped with multiple doors, warehouse and office space. The development is zoned for warehouse, research and development and light manufacturing.
