The space will be used for PMC's first operational business in the US, to be known as PMC Hydraulics. The facility also will serve as the North American headquarters for its Sweden-based parent company, PMC Group.
The building is located within the Coors Technology Center at 161 West 45th Dr. PMC's leasehold includes 5,380 square feet of office space and 37,940 square feet of manufacturing/warehouse space on 5.48 acres. The listing broker, Robert Bruce, was not immediately available Monday for comment on the terms of the lease.
Vestas' operates a facility 26 miles away in Brighton. According to PMC's purchase and planning manager Mikkel Johnsen, also the future VP of Operations at PMC Hydraulics Inc. in Golden, the company it expects to be up and running at the facility in February.
"Golden is relatively close to PMC's biggest US customer, Vestas Americas, which was critical to site selection," Johnsen says, adding that the area's "highly-skilled" workforce and "pro-business tax climate" also factored into the decision.
