BOSTON-The development team of the massive Seaport Square project is submitting revisions to the developments original plans. The Boston Redevelopment Authority will review the plans and a public-comment period will last until mid-February.

The 23-acre development is the much anticipated culmination of planning for undeveloped acreage by the Harbor between the Fan Pier and Fort Point neighborhoods. The gargantuan mixed-use project will be 6.5 million square feet, but some of the specifics of its structure have changed with the new plan submission.

The buildings will number 23, a jump from the originally intended 19 structures. Some of the larger buildings will be turned into groups of smaller buildings. This also helps in reducing the heights of some of the buildings, which will allow the development to meld harmoniously with the surrounding structures. These buildings are abutting industrial warehouses on the Fort Point side, at the intersection of Seaport Boulevard and Boston Wharf Road.
