Leonard S. Schleifer, president and CEO of Regeneron, in a release, says, "BioMed has been an ideal real estate partner during this time of growth at Regeneron. We have a very strong working relationship with BioMed and look forward to continuing our mission to discover and develop important new medicines in our new state-of-the-art research facilities in Tarrytown."
The Landmark at Eastview is an eight-building campus with 1.11 million square feet of rentable lab and office space, although Regeneron's recent lease--along with current tenant, Progenics Pharmaceuticals and Bayer, among others--takes the BioMed pipeline up to 100% occupancy. Regeneron's lease will keep them in the facility until June 30, 2023. The terms of the lease were not disclosed and BioMed did not return inquiries by deadline. However, CBRE's Q2 office market report for Westchester County has an average lease rate of $27.07.
