Cain, who has 14 years of non-profit association management experience, previously served as CoreNet's director of global events. She will be formally introduced in her new position at the CoreNet Global Summit on April 18-20 in New Orleans.

"I welcome the challenges and opportunities that this position brings and look forward to building a team that strengthens the CoreNet Global value proposition now and into the future," Cain says. "I am also looking forward to the opportunity to work closely with our chapters in crafting our new direction."

A journalism and communications graduate of the University of Florida, Cain currently serves on the finance committee of the National Association of Realtors and as vice chair of the Realtor Relief Foundation. CoreNet executives state that she has a proven track record in developing sound fiscal and operational policy, strengthening revenue streams and maximizing value for members' dues money.

"Angela brings to CoreNet Global a strong combination of association management experience and first-hand knowledge of the real estate industry," says Lee Utke, chairman-elect of the 6,500-member group and director of global corporate real estate for Benton Harbor, MI-based Whirlpool Corp. He adds that Cain is well-suited to lead CoreNet in new directions that will improve strategic value to its members and the entire real estate industry.

Cain takes over for Ron Zappile, former president of United Technologies Realty who became CoreNet interim CEO after the retirement of Prentice Knight. Chicago-based Ferguson Partners assisted CoreNet with its executive search.
