Maersk Distribution Services will be the building's tenant. Maersk Line has operated at the Port of Savannah since 2007, expanding its trade capabilities to India, the Mediterranean and the Middle East.

"We're pleased to add Maersk to our outstanding roster of clients in Savannah," says Chris Brown, Duke's senior vice president in Atlanta. He notes that the size of Duke's Savannah portfolio provides tenants such as Maersk with flexibility as well as financial strength.

Indianapolis, IN-based Duke owns 6.7 million square feet of industrial buildings and land in the Savannah market, which totals nearly 41 million square feet in Chatham, Bryan, Liberty and Effingham Counties. Overall, Duke owns and operates 135 million square feet in 20 cities across the US.

John Neely of Colliers Neely Dales represented Maersk in lease negotiations, while Brian Sutton of Duke negotiated on behalf of the owner. Additional terms were not disclosed.
