HarborSouth recently completed a renovation in 2008 of its lobby, windows, facade, HVAC systems and parking deck. The 204,750-square-foot building was acquired by Griffith Properties in 2007 and Blue Cross/Blue Shield vacated the space soon after, relocating to Quincy and Hingham, MA. The redevelopment was done through a joint venture with Urdang Value-Added Fund II, L.P. managed by Plymouth Meeting, PA-based Urdang Capital Management Inc.

The class A tower was built in 1983 and boasts LEED Silver Core & Shell certification from the US Green Buildings Council. The program includes MBTA shuttle service, drought toleratn plantings, preferred parking for fuel efficient cars and carpoolers, bicycle storage and showers, and recycling programs.
