Statewide Consolidation Calls for 114,451 SF

QUINCY, MA-The Executive Office of Health and Human Services is consolidating numerous locations across the state into HarborSouth.

QUINCY, MA-The Commonwealth of Massachusetts is leasing 114,451 square feet for the Executive Office of Health and Human Services at 100 Hancock St. Also known as HarborSouth Tower, the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance secured the fourth through eighth floors for HHS at $33.73 per square foot. The HHS is consolidating its numerous locations across Massachusetts into the office tower.

HarborSouth recently completed a renovation in 2008 of its lobby, windows, facade, HVAC systems and parking deck. The 204,750-square-foot building was acquired by Griffith Properties in 2007 and Blue Cross/Blue Shield vacated the space soon after, relocating to Quincy and Hingham, MA. The redevelopment was done through a joint venture with Urdang Value-Added Fund II, L.P. managed by Plymouth Meeting, PA-based Urdang Capital Management Inc.
