FORT WORTH-The Fort Worth Star Telegram reports that the recently approved $2.6-billion merger between locally based energy company Encore Acquisition Co. and Denbury Resources of Plano TX will mean closure of the former’s 69,000-square-foot headquarters in the CBD. Employees currently at Fort Worth headquarters will be offered a transfer to the Plano office during the next year, the article notes.

Encore Acquisitions Co. has been at its current location at 777 Main St. in Carter Burgess Plaza for several years. In 2004, the company signed a nine-year lease that involved a renewal of its space on the 14th and 15th floors, and new space on floor 16.
