The CBS lease follows the announcement in December that Prudential Insurance Co. had signed a 225,000-square-foot renewal at the neighboring 200 Wood Ave. South office building. The Prudential renewal is for 10 years; the insurer has had space at the complex for more than 30 years.
Lease terms were not disclosed. CBS was represented by Brian Given and Dick Hecker of FirstService Williams. Along with Calvin Farley, Tishman Speyer's Blythe Kinsler and Todd Silverman represented property ownership.
The CBS lease at 190 Wood South represents more than half the single-story property's GBA of 156,000 square feet. Tishman Speyer bought the three-building Offices at Metropark complex in 2007 from a partnership of Ivy Equities and Rockwood Capital for a purchase price said to be north of $200 million.
