Gottesman Breaks Ground on Sea Girt Retail Center

SEA GIRT, NJ-The initial phase of the 53,000-square-foot complex is set to wrap up in September, with the second phase due for completion by February 2011.

SEA GIRT, NJ-Gottesman Real Estate Partners has begun construction on Sea Girt Square, a 53,000-square-foot retail complex in Monmouth County at the site of the former Old Mill Plaza. The center is located at the intersection of Route 35 and Ocean Road, in the area’s prime retail corridor–an area occupied by retailers like Gap, Talbot’s, Ann Taylor, Coldwater Creek, Banana Republic and Williams-Sonoma.

Helena Loelius, senior vice president/broker manager, and Ed Hughes, vice president/real estate agent, both of Sitar Realty Co. are the exclusive brokers for Sea Girt Square.

Completion of the initial phase is scheduled for September 2010. The second phase will be completed in February 2011. Tenants leasing during the construction phase will have first dibs on the units as well as the opportunity to complete custom finishes at construction-phase pricing. According to Gottesman, several unnamed tenants “have made commitments.”
