GlobeSt.com Adds Fire Power to SW, SE

NEW YORK CITY-Two veteran real estate reporters join GlobeSt.com.

NEW YORK CITY-Two veteran real estate reporters—Hortense Leon and Jennifer Duell Popovec—have joined GlobeSt.com’s team of regional editors. Leon will be covering the Southeast markets while Duell, who previously covered retail for the website, returns to report on real estate trends and news taking place in the Southwest.

Carl Cronan and Amy Sorter, GlobeSt.com’s previous Southeast and Southwest editors, respectively, have gone on to pursue other opportunities. Leon, in addition to her responsibilities in the Southeast will be taking over Cronan’s popular regional Commercial Grove blog. Both writers will also be regular contributors to Real Estate Forum magazine.

For more than a decade, Jennifer Duell Popovec has focused primarily on business journalism with a specialty in commercial real estate. In late 2009, Jennifer launched a new media outlet, Medical Office Today, which covers healthcare real estate. Leon has covered the commercial real estate market since 1991 and her work has appeared in a number of industry publications, most noticeably in Real Estate Forum.
