"Tropical Supermarket truly fills a need in this market," says Jake Frantzman, leasing representative for Levin Management. "In this economy, you cannot find a better anchor than a supermarket, and in this instance Tropical will bring grocery shopping much closer to people in this neighborhood, who otherwise might have to go a considerable distance to shop.

"There is a whole class of supermarket operators that are currently looking for locations in this size range," Frantzman continues. "Their goal is to serve a neighborhood market rather than a region. This is exactly the kind of tenant we have been seeking for this location."

Tropical Supermarket will join existing tenants Dollar Place, Township Pharmacy and Mane Appeal at Hamilton Street Center, which is situated at the intersection of Hamilton and Stuyvesant streets in Franklin Twp., Somerset County. Hamilton Street is a major traffic carrier boasting a daily traffic count of more than 18,000 vehicles past the shopping center site. The five-mile population is more than 235,000, with a median household income of $75,663 and an average household income of $94,148.
