This is a new position that combines oversight for the leasing and management groups under one person, allowing them to work alongside the capital markets group. "As the leasing, management and capital markets functions are so intertwined, combining these groups will provide a seamless, consistent and high level of service for our tenants and clients throughout the life cycle of their asset," Everbach says. "It's critical that the property management and leasing functions are synergistic, as both greatly impact a tenant's experience."

Everbach will supervise a leasing and management group of roughly 40 people and a portfolio of about 8 million square feet across the Metroplex. He tells GlobeSt. that he and Jones Lang LaSalle spoke for several months before he took on the new role. He notes that his first priority is to help improve the bottom line for the firm's existing clients.

Most recently, Everbach served as president of Evergreen Realty Advisors, a local real estate firm that he founded in 2004. In total, he brings nearly 25 years of commercial real estate experience. In addition to his role at Evergreen, he helped build the Cushman & Wakefield agency leasing and property management business and served as COO for Lazarus Property Corp., a privately-owned, local real estate developer and investor.

"Steve's broad real estate and leadership background positions him well for this critical business role," says Paul Whitman, President for Jones Lang LaSalle in Dallas. "I am confident that Steve will be able to enhance our already robust presence in the Dallas market and leverage our regional, national and global platform to provide our clients with strategic, creative solutions to their real estate needs."

Everbach holds a B.A. from Boston University. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Central Dallas Association, the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors and was Chairman of their Governmental Affairs Committee.
