Greenspoint Attracts Large Industrial

HOUSTON-Industrial development and leasing has ramped up in the Greenspoint District, named one of the top five locations in the nation for logistics companies.

HOUSTON-Industrial development and leasing activity has ramped up in the Greenspoint District, which has been named by Expansion Solutions Magazine as one of the top five locations in the nation for logistics companies.

Strategically located with direct access to Interstate 45 and Sam Houston Tollway, the district is only 30 minutes from the Port of Houston and a six-mile commute to Bush Intercontinental Airport. It is comprised of a 12-square-mile area that encompasses more than 18 million square feet of office, retail and industrial properties. Roughly 70,000 people work in the area.

David Cook, a senior director with Cushman & Wakefield of Texas Inc.’s local office, tells GlobeSt. that a number of industrial developers have created business parks in the Greenspoint District. Additionally, many national and international companies have moved their local logistics and distribution operations to the submarket.
