Northrop Grumman Opts for NoVa Site

NORTHERN VIRGINA, VA-But there is little indication where in Northern Virginia, or for that matter, which empty building or build-to-suit property the defense contractor will select.

NORTHERN, VIRGINIA, VA-Northrop Grumman has decided to base its headquarters in Northern Virginia, ending the first leg of competition in the area. Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley conceded the contest in a statement late Monday afternoon. The news of Northrop Grumman’s decision to go to Northern Virginia was first reported by the Washington Business Journal .

“Northrop Grumman’s decision today is a win for the entire GreaterWashington region, and I want to congratulate the state of Virginia,”O’Malley said in in the statement.
