DALLAS-Cushman & Wakefield of Texas Inc.’s local branch has added retail leasing services to its offerings and has tapped Lisa Streidl to head the group. She joins the company as a director in the transaction services group.
Streidl will focus on both tenant and landlord representation in the retail sector. Her responsibilities will include leasing, site selection/acquisition, site disposition and portfolio administration for clients in the Metroplex.
Prior to joining C&W, Streidl served as senior vice president and managing partner of Blatteis & Schnur, a Los Angeles-based boutique retail firm with offices in Dallas, Chicago and San Francisco. While at Blatteis & Schnur she handled the national rollout for Sur La Table and relocated to Dallas to work on Victory.
In total, Streidl brings more than 16 years of real estate industry experience to C&W. Before taking on her role with Blatteis & Schnur, she was a vice president with CB Richard Ellis where she managed a team focusing on retail core, urban neighborhood and community shopping center leasing on both the tenant and landlord side of the business.
Streidl tells GlobeSt. that she expects to work with C&W’s local capital markets group, which serves as a receiver for distressed properties across the Dallas/Fort Worth area. “My approach to retail leasing is more consultative instead of straight brokerage, and I’ll be able to draw on that expertise for some of the distressed properties to help turn those properties around,” she explains.
In addition to C&W’s global retail leasing platform, Streidl says she is exciting about working with a firm that has access to such robust research and one that possesses a strong local presence. Across the company, C&W boasts 360 retail leasing professionals. Last year, the firm negotiated more than 4,600 retail transactions worldwide, representing 23 million square feet at a value of more than $3.7 billion.
