SACRAMENTO-The Ultimate Marketplace-ShopSmart has leased a 108,263-square-foot freestanding retail building in Sacramento. Terranomics Retail Services, the retail division of BT Commercial, represented the tenant.

ShopSmart will be a unique indoor mini-mall that will feature hundreds of professional retailers who sell thousands of predominantly new products at bargain prices, according to a prepared statement. “It operates similarly to a swap meet in that if offers entrepreneurs the opportunity to open, grow and promote their business for a fraction of the price of and with far less risk as alternative options.”

James Teare, a senior vice president and partner at Cassidy Turley BT Commercial, who represented the tenant, tells GlobeSt.com that Sam’s club was vacant for six months and that Sam’s PW Inc. still owns the building, but he could not discuss lease terms at this time except to say that the deal is a sublease.

ShopSmart will take occupancy in July. The property is located at 7660 Stockton Blvd.
