Good Stuff The unemployment rate for the 16-to-24 age group reached a record 19.6% in April, double the national average. What a mess, and not quite the recovery we expected by now. Among the unfortunate youth are freshly minted real estate undergraduates, MBA’s, JD’s, and others with degrees that were big ticket items, who are now begging for jobs. It’s important that we all focus on this situation, otherwise we will end up with a deeper talent gap in an industry that is already short on talent for tomorrow. If you don’t have an approved job slot, establish an intern opportunity. It will provide exceptional and critical leverage in a job hunt. Good stuff all the way around.
