Home Insurance Finds New Home

NEW YORK CITY-The property & casualty insurer is taking a full floor at Broad Street Development’s 61 Broadway, highlighting this week’s wrap-up of deals.

New York City Property & casualty insurer Home Insurance Co. has signed a 15-year lease for the entire 23,750-square-foot sixth floor at Broad Street Development’s 61 Broadway. The insurer is relocating from 59 Maiden Ln. The Broad Street leasing team of Daniel Blanco, David Israni and Ramona Huegel represented the ownership, while Cushman & Wakefield’s Andrew Peretz negotiated on behalf of Home Insurance. Asking rents at the 33-story, 750,000-square-foot property are in the low- to mid-$30s per square foot.

Tech firm Myriad Supply Co. has committed to 10 years and a full floor of 18,300 square feet at 22 W. 19th St. Elliot Warren of the Kaufman Organization represented the tenant in the transaction, while Steve Kaufman and Barbara Raskob of Kaufman represented the landlord. Although lease terms were undisclosed, asking rent at the 185,000-square-foot property was in the low $30s per square foot.
