PHOENIX-Voit Real Estate Services has expanded into the Arizona market, opening a new office and hiring Jason Quintel to lead it as a managing director.
The new office is the eighth office Voit office in the nation. It is part of the strategic expansion of the company in key markets throughout the Western U.S. It will compete with traditional brokerage firms, as well as industrial, office and retail developers.
“We are establishing this Arizona office as part of an exciting ‘boots on the ground’ campaign designed to make the Voit platform of services more accessible to investors, banks, financial institutions and special servicers for which we serve as surrogate owners of their assets,” says CEO Robert Voit.
Quintel has been involved in the commercial real estate industries in Phoenix, Reno, Las Vegas and Sacramento for more than 11 years with increasing responsibilities at Panattoni Development Co. His expertise includes asset management, leasing, sales and development of industrial, office, and distribution center projects.
“While I was with Panattoni, I competed against Voit many times,” Quintel says, adding that he had a strong knowledge of Voit prior to learning about the opportunity with the new Phoenix office.
Quintel tells GlobeSt. that he and Robert Voit nailed down the details of the new position during a month-long “courtship”. “We really hit it off, and I loved the platform Voit has created,” he says. “This is a great opportunity.”
Voit has owned, developed and managed over 45 million square feet of commercial real estate, participated in $1.3 billion of construction projects and completed over $32 billion in brokerage transaction volume. Currently, the firm is privately held and debt-free firm. It employs 170 people.
In Phoenix, Quintel initially will focus on acquisitions rather than development, as well as bringing on new brokerage, asset management and property management assignments. He also is working to bring on property management and asset management talent.
Quintel expects to add 12 to 15 people to the local office within the next 12 to 24 months. In addition to his work in the Phoenix office, he will also provide asset services in Voit’s Las Vegas office.
A graduate of California State University, Sacramento, Quintel has served on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) in both Phoenix and Reno. He is also a member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) in Phoenix.
