BOSTON-John B. Hynes III is turning the page, leaving Gale International where he served a 10-year stint as CEO and managing partner. The new chapter casts Hynes as the CEO and managing partner of a new commercial real estate development and consulting firm of his making: Boston Global Investors (BGI).
The headquarters will reside in Boston, as Hynes a life-long native of the city, will join with five other directors to create the company: Kevin Benedix, Charles Reid, Leonard Conlin, Dave Wamester and Joseph Norris. BGI will offer master planning, land assemblage, project management, permist and approvals, sustainability/LEED consulting, business planning, finanacing and accounting, asset management, marketing, leasing and sales.
Projects that will accompany Hynes to BGI include Seaport Square, One Franklin and the redevelopment of Rocketdyne facility in LA Arner Center in Los Angeles. Hynes will also continue with the landmark New Songdo City in Seoul, South Korea.
The largely sustainable project dials up $35 billion for over 100 million square feet of the master planned city. As a shareholder, Hynes will continue his work with the massive cityscape project, which is now well into its second phase of development.
"Real estate market conditions have improved markedly over the past few months and the forecast is optimistic, making this an opportune time to establish a company that can leverage the local national and international experience of me and the BGI team," Hynes says in a release.
