NEW YORK CITY-Cushman & Wakefield and Trepp have entered into an information sharing agreement whereby C&W will provide market data and analysis for a new series of reports that Trepp will issue through its Foresight Analytics division. A Trepp spokesman tells GlobeSt.com the reports will be issued quarterly and will cover national statistics as well as specific local markets, including dozens of metro areas.

Via the non-exclusive agreement, Trepp clients will receive analysis and forecasting information for domestic and international markets. The Foresight Analytics reports will be available to institutional investors, lenders and developers later this year via Trepp.com, according to a release.

The agreement follows in the same vein as locally based Trepp’s acquisition of Oakland, CA-based Foresight this past March, a move intended to broaden the base of knowledge Trepp provides to its clients beyond its focus on CMBS and the commercial mortgage market. When the acquisition was announced, Trepp SVP Andrew Leibman told GlobeSt.com that with increasing “turmoil” in the commercial sector, “our CMBS clients have been focusing on the commercial real estate aspects of what makes up these bonds. Historically, Trepp has not been a pure CRE shop. We’ve really been focused more on bond analytics and the capital markets. Adding real estate expertise really adds value for our client base.”

The Foresight team, Leibman said in March, tracks “a whole host of aspects of how the commercial real estate landscape affects CMBS and the underlying properties. They understand it down to the individual property, so we can see ourselves adding value to our clients from a deal level, market level, loan and property level.” He added that Trepp would “continue to expand our products and services deeper into commercial real estate in support of our CMBS efforts.”

Susan Persin, co-founder of Foresight and managing director of Trepp, says in a release that “the synergy between the C&W and Foresight teams furthers Trepp’s commitment” to client services. Adds Maria Sicola, C&W’s managing director of research services, “Robust, valid and reliable market data is indispensable in providing actionable advice to clients and we are extremely proud that Trepp has selected C&W to provide these market fundamentals.”
