BOSTON-The Warren Group has reported that there has been a fall of 21.7% in the number of foreclosure petitions filed by lenders in Massachusetts in June 2010 when compared to that in June 2009. There were 2,220 foreclosure petitions filed in June 2010, while 2,835 such petitions were filed a year earlier.
Although this marks the second such fall on a year-to-year basis, there was an increase of 5.2% when compared to that of May 2010. This year alone 13,338 petitions have been filed. For the full story, go to Dallas Business Journal.
