NEW YORK CITY-Locally-based Liz Claiborne Inc. has decided to close its Liz Claiborne branded outlet stores in Puerto Rico and United States. Eighty-seven stores will be closed including four stores in New York City. This move was carried out to cut short on its operating losses.
The firm has incurred losses for 10 quarters in a row and expects that this move will convert the losses into profits by the beginning of next year. For the full story, go to Jacksonville Business Journal.
