NEW YORK CITY-Work on the proposed $70-million track-and-field complex at Ocean Breeze Park on Staten Island has broken ground. The indoor complex is slated to be complete by December 2012 and will measure 135,000 square feet. The complex will include eight lanes of track, a pole vault, a high jump area, two long-jump pits and areas for shot-put and weight throwing.
The complex will have the capacity to seat 2,500 people. The complex is being built on 10 acres of land. For the full story, go to Wall Street Journal.
