NEW YORK CITY-Principals of BD Hotels have purchased a former women's residence for $28 million in Murray Hill. The property was bought from Salvation Army. The 342-room, 17-story building measures 98,815 square feet and is located at 145 E. 39th St, between Lexington and Third Avenue.
The 1981 building was sold for almost $82,000 per room. BD hotels have plans to convert the property into a hotel, which is slated to open by 2011 end. For the full story, go to Crain's New York Business.
