ST. PETERSBURG-The overall vacancy rate in Pinellas County stood at 23.2% for Q2 2010, a rise of 0.2% from Q1 2010 and an increase of 0.5% when compared to that of Q2 2009.

Due to the high vacancy in the market, the asking rents fell by $1.60 per square feet to $18.95 per square feet at the end of Q2 2010 from $20.55 in Q2 2009. This is reportedly the lowest asking rate since Q3 2006. For the full story, go to Florida Real Estate Journal.
