CHICAGO-A retail development in Little Village is awaiting the City Council's approval for zoning changes. The development plan has been stalled for over a year now. The developers plan to convert an empty industrial building located at 3200 S. Kedzie into Azteca Mall. The mall will house about 400 merchants.
The property is in the 22nd Ward and got the approval of Ald. Ricardo Munoz only after the developers agreed to scale down the project. For the full story, go to Chicago Sun Times.
