It certainly looks like it's easier for Walmart to open stores in Chicago. The retailer just received government approval for its third store in that city, and it only took a month, compared to four years for its previous location.
However, Walmart still seems to have a lot of opposition in New York City. And it still apparently faces a lot of problems in the San Francisco Bay area.
Is the Chicago move a sign of things to come around the country? Or will Walmart always have trouble entering urban areas depending on the individual locale?
