CHICAGO-Two decommissioned police stations were sold for $1 each by the Daley administration. Griffin Theatre Co. purchased the former 20th District station at 1940 W. Foster, where it plans to redevelop the 6,100-square-foot site. Griffin will spend about $3.4 million and build two theaters at the site.
The second property, the 15th District station, 5327 W. Chicago Ave. was purchased by New Moms Inc., where it will build a $11.7 million housing unit for teenage mothers and their children. For the full story, go to Chicago Sun Times.
