DALLAS-A recommendation floated by City Manager Mary Suhm to raise the property taxes is still being discussed even though it was thought that it would not be able to garner enough votes.

The recommendation is to increase the tax rate of 0.7479% or 74.79 cents per $100 in valuation. Five council members have agreed to vote on a tax raise, while three members remain undecided but could give it a consideration. For the full story, go to The Dallas Morning News.
