DALLAS-According to the North Texas Real Estate Information Systems and the Real Estate Center, sales of previously owned homes in Northern Texas have fallen by 29% in July 2010 compared to that of July 2009. The sales of condominiums and townhouses also fell by 37% in July compared to that in July 2009.
The fall in sales was mainly due to the expiration of the federal tax credit. In July, there were 5,143 homes sold, the lowest since February 2010. For the full story, go to The Dallas Morning News.
