CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY-The hotel and casino empire of Columbia Sussex continues to face debt problems. Columbia's Westin Casuarina Hotel & Spa, located in Las Vegas, has been unable to meet payments for its securitized mortgage of $150 million for the last four months. Columbia has to pay an annual interest amount of $11.9 million for securitized mortgage. According to Realpoint, the Las Vegas-based Westin Casuarina made a profit of $7.9 million for the fiscal year ended 2009.For the full story, go to Wall Street Journal.
