RED SEA, EGYPT-Jumeirah Group, the Dubai-based luxury hospitality company and member of Dubai Holding, has signed an agreement with Palm Hills Developments to manage Jumeirah Gamsha Bay Resort, a new five star deluxe resort located in PHD’s Palm Gamsha resort on the Red Sea, Egypt.

Jumeirah has been appointed to manage a luxury 250-room hotel on the mixed-use development of Palm Gamsha, an integrated community of over 20 man-made islands forming the shape of a seahorse, located 47km North West of Hurghada airport.

Jumeirah Gamsha Bay Resort is Jumeirah’s first management agreement signed in Egypt. This latest agreement brings the total number of properties under development or in operation by Jumeirah globally to 48.

The combination of Jumeirah’s expertise in luxury hospitality and PHD’s development of a prime location is expected to transform Gamsha Bay into a leading world destination, according to a prepared statement.

Guests will be able to take advantage of the region’s renowned tourist activities and attractions, including bird watching, hiking, golf, diving, desert safaris and visiting archaeological sites.

Palm Hills Developments is a real estate company in the Egyptian market, primarily developing integrated residential, commercial real estate and resort projects. Founded in 2005 by Mansour and Maghraby Investment and Development, the company, was the result of a vision to create self-sufficient communities through the utilization of integrated tools.

Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts includes Burj Al Arab, Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Jumeirah Emirates Towers, Madinat Jumeirah, Jumeirah The Meydan and Jumeirah Bab Al Shams in Dubai; Jumeirah Carlton Tower and Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel in London; and Jumeirah Essex House in New York. Jumeirah Group also runs the luxury serviced residences brand Jumeirah Living; the spa brand Talise; Jumeirah Restaurants; Wild Wadi Waterpark; The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management; and Sirius, its global loyalty programme. Jumeirah Group has recently unveiled VENU Hotels, a contemporary lifestyle hotel brand.
