AUSTIN-RealtyTrac has reported that foreclosure activity in Austin decreased by 21% in July this year compared to that of the same period last year. Nearly 901 Austin homes were either foreclosed or defaulted on their loan in July.

This marks a decrease of 100 homes in some stage of foreclosure from 1,000 homes in the past few months. Metro Austin ranked 126 in a list of 203 metro markets with maximum foreclosures. For the full story, go to Jacksonville Business Journal.
