BERGEN COUNTY, NJ-Scott Forbes, a Bergen County home developer who was charged with issuing bad-checks in late 2009, failed to pay $240,878.56 in restitution. As a result, the county Probation Office has removed Forbes from the Pretrial Intervention (PTI) program, which allowed Forbes to maintain a clean record.
Forbes is the prime accused in four crimes which involve theft by deception and the issue of bad-checks. Forbes owes $100,000 to Inganamort family members and $140,878.56 to a former supplier. For the full story, go to Bergen Record.
