NEW YORK CITY-A survey conducted by PropertyShark.com has listed the cheapest homes in the New York City housing market, marking the first time when homeownership is less expensive than renting a home.
The average sales price for apartments is $370,000 in the five boroughs of New York. However, prices vary from market to market. Sales price in Queens, Bronx and Staten Island is $250,000 while prices in Brooklyn and Manhattan markets hover around $400,000 and $600,000 respectively.
