LITTLE FERRY, NJ-A rule banning illegal occupancy in apartments and homes has been amended by the Municipal Council throughout the borough. The amended rule includes a number of penalties and fines that officials hope will help reduce the problem of overcrowding in the borough.

Illegal occupancy could create unsafe living conditions for residents while also increasing the borough's costs due to unpaid taxes. To remedy this, the rule will penalize landlords or owners through various fines for illegally renting out spaces. For the full story, go to NorthJersey.com.
