CHICAGO-The owner of the troubled 3728-30 N. Southport Ave. building, developer William Platt has filed for bankruptcy protection in Chicago's U.S. Bankruptcy Court, as the property was hit by a foreclosure lawsuit.

Citigroup Inc. based out of New York has filed a $1.8 million foreclosure suit against the property on a loan of $1.95 million. The occupants at the building include Access Realty Group Inc., Platt Construction Inc. and a branch of Chase Bank. For the full story, go to Crain's Chicago Business.
