INDIANAPOLIS-Several mortgage brokers in Indianapolis have been forced to exit the market due to the turmoil in the US housing financing industry and the consequent tightening of regulations.

The number of loan originators and mortgage brokers in Indiana reduced to 1,080, about 73% since 2005 when the number was 4,008. The Indiana Association of Mortgage Brokers has also ceased to exist due to the rapid thinning of the industry. For the full story, go to IndyStar.com.
