LIVINGSTON, NJ-Acorn Financial Services is moving into a new home office at Eisenhower Corporate Campus here. The financial firm will take 20,000 square feet for its new digs, signing a long-term lease. The deal was brokered by the Garibaldi Group of Chatham and Eric Maurer, the director of leasing for Eastman Management Corp.

The 385,000-square-foot office campus sits on 33.5 acres of property boasting a full-service cafeteria, fitness center and underground parking. Acorn holds offices as well in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, however this new space will be its corporate headquarters. Eastman Management did not return GlobeSt inquiries by deadline.

Class A vacancy in Northern New Jersey rests at a robust 18.4%, but is down overall year-over-year. Eastman did not say what Acorn's lease-rate will be. Cushman & Wakefield clocks the average at $29.34 per square foot for class A office as of 2Q10 in North Jersey, however Essex County is slightly lower in its average, where Acorn will reside, at $27.90 per square foot.

Recently, Eastman Cos. signed new leases at 345 Eisenhower Pkwy. from Stein McGuire Pantages & Gigi LLP, Becker Meisel, Aronson & Fernandez, attorneys at law, and New Jersey Life & Casualty Co. which totaled 35,000 square feet. And early last year, Verizon signed on for a 153,000-square-foot lease at the Eisenhower Campus.
