Fairway Comes to Upper East Side

NEW YORK CITY-The upscale grocer is moving into 45,263 square feet at 240 E. 86th St., highlighting this week’s wrap-up of deals.

Fairway Market is coming to Manhattan’s Upper East Side via a 45,263-square-foot, long-term lease at the base of the Ventura, a luxury rental apartment building located at 240 E. 86th St. Scheduled to open in the fall of 2011, the new Fairway will take space on four levels formerly occupied by Barnes &Z Noble and Circuit City. A Robert K. Futterman & Associates team including Robert K. Futterman, Ariel Schuster, Gary Alterman and Izzy Anthony represented the landlord, Ventura in Manhattan, Inc. Fairway was self-representing; this will be the upscale grocery chain’s eighth metro area location and its third in Manhattan.
