CHICAGO-Bankrate.com reported that the closing costs throughout the country had increased to 36.2% in 2009 when compared to that of last year.

In Illinois, the closing costs had climbed 41% in 2009 when compared to that of 2008. In Illinois, on a $200,000 mortgage, the third party and origination fees were $3,505 in 2010, while it was $2,486 in 2009.
